Recent advice in January 2012 from Workplace Health & Safety Qld has left no doubt that workers walking on concrete block walls when core filling, is not a WH&S compliant practice on any construction site. WH&S QLD have stated “…walking along the top of concrete block walls or along a single plank (225mm width) while core filling is an unacceptable work activity and the platform needs to be a minimum of 450mm wide...a 450mm wide trestle platform is a reasonalbe control measure"

In order to provide an even  better service to our customers, and to reinforce our commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and customers, Felcon Concrete Pumping have taken the innovative step of providing a 450mm wide temporary working platform with our standard blockfill service, at No Extra Cost to our customers. As an additional safety control measure our concrete pump workers receive regular training in the correct erection & dismantling of the platforms and Safe Work Methods for Working from Heights.
